It's 1 PM in Texas, and I'm already sitting
here with 20 tabs open in my browser,
wondering why my progress today has
been slower than normal... lol.
If you can relate... :)
One exercise I use when I catch myself
doing this is to "compartmentalize".
If you don't know what that means, it's
to divide into sections.
Meaning, rather than take on all your
tasks at once for the
day...
- Answering emails
- Setting up meetings
- Browsing Facebook/Twitter/Instagram
- Preparing for a meeting
- Shopping on Amazon
- Preparing reports
- Reading
the News
- Trading Bitcoin
(Let's be honest, not every tab is work related. =P)
Try setting aside 30-60 minutes of
UNINTERRUPTED time for each task,
or until it's completed (if you're OCD),
then
move on to the next task.
I think you'll surprise yourself with
how much you get done in a day.
Time for me to close some tabs, and
get back to focusing.
Good Luck and Happy
Friday!
Good Investing,
